Sanskrit Mantras in a Pagan Landscape

A one-of-a-kind sonic ritual weaving Sanskrit mantras, spoken word, and mythic stories.

Sonic Ritual

DATE: Saturday 7th June 2025 - 6pm – 8pm

LOCATION: The Chapel, North Cornwall

PRICE: FREE : This is a donation-based, invite-only gathering with limited spaces.

You are warmly invited to an evening of  wild beauty, and sacred sound.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind sonic ritual weaving Sanskrit mantras, spoken word, and mythic stories from the goddess traditions of India—all set within the ancient,  land of Cornwall.

Sangita Lakhanpal, a British-born artist and singing yogini, brings decades of pilgrimage between India and the Celtic fringes of Wales and Cornwall. Her immersive sound journeys dissolve borders between continents, cultures, and inner/outer landscapes—offering a love song to the Earth and an invitation to remember the land as living, sentient, and sacred.

She will be joined by Robin, a Cornwall-based multi-instrumentalist and music producer whose genre-defying compositions blend organic acoustic and electronic textures with sensitivity and depth.

This is an intimate gathering—please RSVP. Donations for the musicians are warmly appreciated.

There will also be food: a fusion of vegetarian Indian cuisine with local Cornish ingredients, lovingly prepared to nourish body and soul.
